Promoting Canine Excellence Since 2007

About Us

The Kozhikode Kennel Club (KOZKEN) was founded in 2007 in Kozhikode, Kerala, by a dedicated group of dog lovers and show enthusiasts under the leadership of Mr. Neramannil Santhosh.

Driven by a shared passion for responsible dog ownership and the advancement of purebred dogs, the club was formally registered in January 2010 under the Indian Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.

In 2015, KOZKEN achieved a major milestone when it was approved and affiliated with The Kennel Club of India (KCI) — marking its official recognition within the national canine community.

Our Journey

Our History

Following our KCI affiliation, the club quickly gained momentum. Within just 20 months, KOZKEN successfully organized three Open Dog Shows, showcasing outstanding participation and enthusiasm from breeders, handlers, and dog owners across the region.

Recognized for its commitment and organizational excellence, KOZKEN proudly attained championship status in 2017 — a testament to the dedication of our members and volunteers.

That same year, on 21 and 22 October 2017, the club hosted its first and second All India All Breeds Championship Dog Shows, drawing participants from all over India and earning appreciation for its professional standards and hospitality.

Today

From its humble beginnings to becoming one of Kerala’s respected kennel clubs, KOZKEN continues to uphold the highest standards of ethics, sportsmanship, and animal welfare.
